Data collected and purposes
Contact form
Data: title, full name, email, phone, address, city, country, profile (breeder, wholesaler, private individual, restaurant owner) and your message. Only your name, email and message are required.
Purpose: to answer your request. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, or pre-contractual measures if your request concerns a purchase. Your message is sent to us by email; it is not stored in the website database.
Breeders’ area registration
Data: first name, last name, email, password (stored encrypted), postal address and, if you provide them, phone number, herd number and SIRET number.
Purpose: to create and manage your member account, check that you are a breeder before manual approval by our team, then give you access to the private catalogue. Legal basis: performance of the breeders’ area access terms you request. A summary of your request is emailed to our team, and you receive a confirmation email followed by an approval email.
Browsing
Like any website, our host records technical logs (IP address, date, pages viewed, browser) required for the security and proper operation of the website. We do not use any audience measurement or advertising tools.
Retention periods
- Contact requests: 3 years from our last exchange.
- Member accounts: for as long as you are registered, then deleted on request or after 3 years without logging in.
- Rejected registration requests: deleted within one month.
- Technical logs: 12 months maximum.
Recipients
Your data is intended solely for the SNC Château Pique-Sègue team. It may be processed by our technical providers (website hosting, email delivery), who act on our behalf and are bound by confidentiality. Third-party content and services
- Google Fonts: the website fonts are loaded from Google servers, which receive your IP address when pages are displayed. Google LLC is based in the United States and participates in the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
- YouTube videos: some animal pages contain an embedded video in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). No data is sent to YouTube until you start playback; playing the video then connects you to Google services.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the French Data Protection Act, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object to and port your data. You can exercise these rights at any time by writing to contact@chateaupiquesegue.com; we reply within one month. If you believe your rights have not been respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted passwords, catalogue access restricted to approved accounts, and anti-spam protection on forms without any third-party service.
