The domain Château Pique-Sègue estate is made up of rolling hills and valleys that stretch all the way to the Dordogne. Simply stepping onto the estate is a sensory journey in itself.
Located on the banks of the Dordogne river, in the commune of Port-Sainte-Foy-et-Ponchapt in the Dordogne (24), SNC Château Pique-Ségue stands out through two productions: viticulture across 60 ha producing prestigious wines such as Bergerac and Montravel, and a high-genetic-value Limousin cattle breeding operation spread across three estates (Pique-Ségue, Gillet and Saint-Jean)
Led by Philip and Marianne Mallard, the choices and development strategies are clearly reflected in the technical results. With numerous medals for their classified wines (permanent Gold and Silver for Montravel rouge and Côtes de Bergerac…) as well as many prizes for the breeding operation. Thanks to the efforts of leaders such as the Mallard family, wine and livestock farming will remain benchmarks of outstanding quality.
Today, the herd comprises 120 Limousin mother cows registered in the Herd Book Limousin.
The polled gene, mixed-type morphological qualities and the herd's performance are the result of many years of work and careful thought.
